The Polycom SoundStation 2 is a professional conference phone designed for small to medium-sized meeting and conference rooms, providing clear, natural and productive hands-free communication. It features Polycom Acoustic Clarity full-duplex technology, allowing participants to speak and listen simultaneously without cutting each other off, while its three microphones provide 360-degree coverage and a pickup range of up to 10 feet (approximately 3 metres). Dynamic Noise Reduction helps minimise distracting background and room noise, while intelligent microphone mixing focuses on the microphone closest to the person speaking for clearer conversations.
The SoundStation 2 also combines excellent audio performance with simple, familiar telephone controls, including mute, volume adjustment, conference, redial, hold and transfer functions. Selected models feature a backlit graphical LCD display for caller information, call duration and other telephone functions, along with a 25-entry phone book and configurable conference speed-dial key. The system connects to a standard analogue telephone line and is designed to be straightforward to install and use, making it a practical solution for businesses requiring reliable audio conferencing. For larger meeting rooms, expandable models can accommodate optional extension microphones to increase coverage.
