Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Projectors

Q: We are Unable to get the Laptop Image up on the projector
A: More often than not, this is the fault of the operator, not being familiar with the use of the laptop. All P.C. based laptops have a function control to tell the laptop to transmit data out the VGA port. Firstly, locate the Function button that has either CRT/LCD or a monitor symbol (normally indicated by a small square inside a large square) Hold down the function button (bottom left of keyboard) & tap the relevant "F" button, (normally F5 or F8) Repeating this operation will turn on & off the laptops RGB port output.

Q: Image is Blurry on screen
A: 1. Lens cap has been left on the projector, or 2. Adjust the focus

Q: Does the projector have Sound?
A: Whilst the Projectors mostly do have sound, this is generally no better than that offered by your laptop. What may sound loud whilst testing your presentation in the office, it will quite often not be heard by the audience during a presentation. Solution? Hire a small P.A. system with microphone, or just a small set of powered speakers.

Q: How big is the projected image by a projector?
A: Projectors vary & provide a zoom facility, which allows for some distance, versus size adjustment, but we generally say that at 3 metres (approx 10 feet ) from the projected surface, you will get an image about 1500 to 1800 mm wide 5" to 6" From the lower to the upper end of the zoom.

Q: Can I project on a Wall?
A: Yes not a problem. The rule of thumb is, the whiter the projection surface, the clearer the image. We also offer matt projection screens for what we believe will give you the best results, but a wall will work.
